A LETTER TO KAREN

Good Morning My Love,
I find my morning porch devotionals are my place of peace: your chair, the sun rise, my coffee and the blessing of a gentle breeze. Today, you are on my mind…today, I want to say that I love you. I am reflecting upon the times that I have brought sadness into your journey. I understand purpose, however, I do not always appreciate the outcome. I want us to always be happy and when I dive deep into myself, I find I would not be complete without you.
You have asked me many times, why do I love you. My answer is simple, you are you and our journey is our gift, our discovery of ourselves. Our journey would not be complete without each other. It would be like a rose bush without the rose, a bush that never blooms. You are the rose along my journey and I cherish every bloom. Each moment of each breath our thorns bother me less, because the beauty of your petals become more wonderful with each bloom, revealing the discovery of who you really are and not what you have been led to believe. The world cannot define you, only you can define who you are and I do not want to define you. I want to witness and enjoy, your discovery of who you truly are along our journey. This is a journey we chose long before our breath of life. My love you are my rose, I cherish the times your petals are full, the times your petals fall and I cherish the anticipation of the next bloom. This is our path and why I love you so much, I love you because of you. I will always see the truth in you, the petals before the bloom. Never be afraid to bloom for I will always be there for you.
